Luis Alvarado’s political career began with the Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush campaigns. He’s served as deputy press secretary for the California Republican Party, senior advisor to Meg Whitman for Governor campaign, senior advisor to Mike Villines for Insurance Commissioner, and as the Los Angeles Regional Chairman for the McCain/Palin Campaign.

Luis is a Latino political expert and frequently seen on CNN, Univision, Telemundo, Politico, and various national and Spanish-language media. Luis has held senior positions in risk management for companies in the hospitality, manufacturing, distribution and insurance industries. He currently is the chairman of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Greater Los Angeles (RNHALA).

A native of Los Angeles, Luis is the eldest of five children of immigrant parents. A product of the public education, he attended West Los Angeles College before transferring to California State University, Los Angeles to study political science. Luis served his country in the US Army Reserve 311 COSCOM. And together with his wife Lupe has volunteered with multiple non-profit and civic organizations.
